Small business website tactics–marketing & SEO
One of the best–and likely easiest–tactics for improving the visibility of your small business website online is simple: write, write, write, and post. Content written specifically for your industry that incorporates the relevant keywords you want to be known for and rank for in search engines is key to building your small business website footprint online. No, i’m not asking you to pad your website landing pages and content pages with keywords just for the sake of saying you have each page densely populated with keywords specific to your industry–what i’m saying is that if you write relevant content (i.e., content that your audience will find valuable, that ensures you are viewed as a thought leader in your field, that makes you a trusted source of information) and publish it on your company’s website, you’ll draw larger audiences and SERPs (Search engine results pages) will rank your website higher. Give it a shot. Let time pass as you do so. Continue to write those relevant pages–at least one a day. And in time, you’ll notice more consistent traffic to your site, more business, and, with hard work, you’ll generate more revenues.
